Oluwaseun Olayiwola and Sam Williams developed Stay, a poetic dance film. Exploring grief, migration, queer desire, and the black body, the speaker/dancer tows the diminishing line between states of ecstatic pleasure and grief.
Oluwaseun Olayiwola
Oluwaseun is a Nigerian-American dancer, choreographer, poet, and critic based in London. He recently completed my MFA in Choreography from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music in Dance where developed the hybrid choreo-poetic practice he utilizes in his live performance and written work. In 2018, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the United Kingdom. As a choreographer, his work has been presented in the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, and the US. As a writer, his critical work and poetry have been published in the United Kingdom and the US.
